Top Shelf Smokes

The Cigar Box brings only premium cigars to your event. You want your event to be top of line, and we’re going to do our part to keep it that way. We carry cigars by Punch, Camacho, Davidoff, Alec Bradley, AVO, Perdomo and the list goes on and on.

Hand Rolled

You may not know it, but there are machine rolled cigars in the world. However, there are no machine rolled cigars in our inventory. Part of carrying top shelf smokes is carrying cigars that have only been hand rolled. Hand rolling cigars is an art form that takes many years to master, and a master cigar roller can change a cigar’s entire profile during the rolling process. The tightness or looseness with which a cigar is rolled (as well as its shape) affects air flow; which affects burn rate and temperate; which affects flavor. It’s an amazing art form, and we’re proud to only offer you and your attendees hand rolled cigars.

Long Fillers

A cigar is comprised of 3 parts: the filler, a binder, and a wrapper. The majority of the tabacco inside a cigar is comprised of the filler; the filler is held in place by a single tobacco leaf called the binder; and only the most beautiful of leaves are chosen to be a wrapper. As rollers are rolling cigars, leaves need to be trimmed. Sometimes these trimmings are used as filler, and cigars that have leaf trimmings for filler are known as a “cuban sandwich.” It doesn’t make it a bad cigar, but it’s not considered a premium smoke. Premium cigars use whole tobacco leaves for filler. When you book The Cigar Box for an event, you’re smoking cigars with only whole leaf fillers.

No Seconds

Not every cigar passes inspection in the factory, and it could be for various reasons: the draw is too tight; there was a cosmetic imperfection; the manufacturer had too much tobacco. Whatever the reason, these cigars are often deeply discounted and sold in bundles. Like the cuban sandwich, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad cigar. It just means it didn’t pass the exacting standards of the cigar manufacturer. You’re not throwing a second rate party are you? We didn’t think so. So we’re not bringing second rate cigars.
