It Was Only Supposed To Be a Subscription
I started smoking cigars in 2018, and they’ve become a passion. I love smoking them, reading about them, sharing them with others, and I can hardly think of a better way to pass some leisure time than with a nice cigar. Ultimately, it is from this love of the toacco leaf that The Cigar Box was conceived.
On the tail end of summer ‘21, while working my regular job I decided that I was going to start a little side hustle. I wanted to do something that didn’t take up a lot of my time, and I thought, “Why not start an online cigar subscription company?” I enjoyed cigars, and doing that wouldn't take up much time as I would only be shipping monthly packages to subscribers. But I have a dear friend who I told about my idea, and a few weeks later he texted me, “I have 3 words for you. Mobile cigar lounge.” From that point on, operating a mobile cigar lounge in the Upstate of South Carolina became an obsession of mine. Today it’s a reality. I started humbly with a 10x10 pop up tent, an 8’ table, and a classy spread of cigars. Nearly two years in and I've transformed that into a custom-built, tear drop style cigar trailer that is a show stopper at events.
